Business Excellence
The ambition to enshrine Business Excellence in our operations is a fundamental of our Vision Statement, and is evidenced in a great many ways across the organisation:
- External accreditations to benchmark the quality of our work from Charter Mark, Investors in People, The Centre for Sheltered Housing Studies, the TSA, and others.
- The use of benchmarking clubs to gauge our performance and develop good practice.
- Links to commercial organisations, such as the Chamber of Commerce, and Vistage to garner expertise and good practice models from the private sector.
- Using Value Based Management techniques to drive performance and reduce waste and unnecessary process costs.
- Using Best Value Reviews to scrutinise service areas and ensure they are “fit for purpose”.
These all important mechanisms are supported by a workforce who are passionate about their work and committed to continuous improvement. This passion is driven by a commitment not simply to business excellence itself, but to harnessing it to social ends.
We are in business for people, not profit, and that underpins everything we do.
