How we've made a difference
Shown below are some of the brilliant achievements which have been made possible through the creation of the Trust's efficiencies fund.
Cheetham Hill Rangers
Housing Services Manager Tony Hennon has worked in partnership with a number of other housing organisations with properties in the Cheetham Hill area of Manchester (Arawak Walton, Tung Sing and Northwards) to create the Cheetham Hill Junior Green Team. The project has been part-funded through the JJHT efficiency fund, and has involved young people in this tough area of Manchester and engaged them in positive work within their community.
The project was nominated for a TPAS (Tenant Participation Advisory Service) award in February 2010 and was shortlisted in the Best Practice In Youth Involvement category. The Trust were highly commended but narrowly missed out on the Top Award for Youth Engagement.
Housing Services Manager Tony Hennon said "We can be very proud of our achievement in being shortlisted in the top six given the number of overall entries in this category. Our joint working with other RSL's in the Cheetham area has been a challenging but worthwhile Project and is set to continue in 2010."

The Bridgehall Young Rangers project: ‘Green and glorious’
The Young Rangers were born out of the determination of the Trust’s efficiency fund, along with the will of committed staff in Bridgehall, Stockport.
The project was originally intended to operate until March 2009, but it has been so successful it is being extended until March 2011.
