Summary of Business
The Board noted:
1. The recruitment of Joe Robinson as leasehold Board Member.
2. The failure to secure an improved version of the Annual Viability Review from the Housing Corporation.
3. The success in securing preferred partner status in Rotherham for retirement and supported housing.
4. Additional local authority funding for two bungalows in Stockport.
5. That the Chartermark annual re-inspection was scheduled for October 2006.
6. The lack of enthusiasm from leaseholders for new branding for the leasehold service. A new approach was called for.
7. The programme for advertising and recruitment of a new board chair, to conclude by the date of the AGM.
The Board reviewed:
1. Proposals for addressing the forecast deficit in the Supporting People budget.
2. Financial performance figures for the end of May.
The Board approved:
1. Purchase of a landbank site at Stockport, and draft feasibility assessment arrangements for other schemes.
2. Revised arrangements for the writing –off and reporting of former tenants arrears.
3. New policies for Redeployment and Redundancy, and Recruitment.
4. New terms of reference for the Joint Consultative Committee.
5. Arrangements to support staff in seeking Independent Financial Advice regarding changes to the pension scheme.
