Regional Manager
Brian Renforth
Brian joined the Trust in 2002 and is based at our North East office at Telford Court, Morpeth, Northumberland, reporting directly to our Director of Housing Services.
Brian leads a team of 8 staff, including 4 Housing Managers directly reporting to him and has responsibility for the efficient and effective running of the North East region.
The region covers an area from Chester-le-Street in the South up to Berwick –upon-Tweed in the North and Brian’s team manage approximately 1,000 properties, including retirement housing schemes for the elderly, general needs schemes and special needs schemes for adults with learning difficulties.
Brian’s responsibilities include ensuring that all income from the region is maximised, by vigorously pursuing rent arrears, minimising losses caused by properties being left empty and by working closely with Supporting People and Housing Benefit teams to ensure benefit/subsidy is paid.
Brian also ensures that our customers receive a good quality maintenance service, by planning and monitoring the delivery of planned maintenance programmes with our Regional Maintenance Surveyor and Housing Managers.
As Regional Manager, Brian is also responsible for marketing and promoting the Trust’s activities in the North East region and for identifying and securing new business, working closely with the Regional Development Manager.
