Flower power in Cheetham
19 July 2011
Staff, residents and children came together on a lovely summer's day in July to make and deliver hanging baskets for our residents in the Cheetham area of Manchester. With lots of commitment and some creative arrangements we were able to make up and deliver 70 hanging baskets. Our very own JJHT apprentice, Sam Wragg, aged 15, kindly helped out with this event as part of his work placement with the Trust. Everybody got their hands dirty and had lots of fun!
Housing Services Manager Tony Hennon said,
"We had a very enjoyable afternoon and it was great to see the young and old together brightening up their community in such a positive way".
There will be more events later on in the year as the Cheetham Junior Green Team continue with their excellent environment work in the area!
