Supporting young people in Macclesfield!

A sequence of events from finance to contractors via General Let and Asset Management has led to a fantastic facility in the loft space of a drop in centre for young people based in Macclesfield.

Finance worker, Jeremy Shepherd approached Housing Services Manager, Tony Hennon to see if the Trust could help support the drop in centre in his home town of Macclesfield.  After discussions with Russ and Louise from the drop in centre the priority for the centre was to try and assist with their “launch pad” project which aims to equip young people with life skills such as cooking, washing, budgeting, hygiene and general living.

After approaching Asset Manager, Cameron Shenton and meeting our contractors HT Forrrest a plan was agreed which involved HT Forrest installing a complete fitted kitchen plus appliances for nothing. This fantastic gesture has enabled the “launch pad” project to become a reality!!
