The Green Team at Bader Court
New tenants Margaret and John Donothey and Chris Paxton have been indulging their love of gardening – much to the delight of other Bader Court residents.
The communal gardens were well kept- but benefited greatly from that extra touch provided by the three keen gardeners onsite.
When Chris, Margaret & John moved in they brought with them several large planted pots which, with care have continued to flourish. In spite of days of heavy rain the pots and the new planted areas needed constant watering and with no outside tap at the property; carrying heavy watering cans from their kitchens made work difficult.
At the Annual Scheme meeting in June - Chris, John and Margaret proposed the installation of an outside tap. In the ensuing discussion it was further suggested that rainwater butts would be more environmentally friendly and the decision was then made to order water butts from a local company. They were installed the following month and have proved invaluable to the scheme.
So everything in the garden now really is blooming and June Dixon, Scheme Manager reports many more tenants are enjoying their improved communal areas. An eco friendly result for the team!
