Celebrating St Patrick's Day 2009
Retirement Scheme Hudson Court in Blackley opened its doors and welcomed the local community to help celebrate St Patrick’s Day on Tuesday 17 March with a drop of Guinness, some Irish stew and a good knees up!
Tenants were encouraged to bring a non-resident friend with them to enjoy the fun; they were joined by the local police, Councillor Lyons and the North East Manchester Advertiser.
A singer kept the guests entertained as they tucked into refreshments and a raffle helped to raise £121.00 in aid of St Anne’s Hospice.
The feedback from those that attended was excellent, Anne Moth scheme manager commented:
“I have been inundated with positive feedback reporting that an overall fantastic time was had by all that attended, whilst the celebrations helped to raise the profile of Hudson Court and funds for a worthwhile cause.”
