Retirement Tenants are over the moon

Retirement Tenants were over the Moon!

 

“Johnnie” Johnson Housing Trust retirement tenants from Duxford Lodge and Clifford Hilditch Court in Crumpsall joined together on Thursday 23 September to celebrate the Chinese Mid Autumn Festival, also know as the Moon Festival.

 

Tenants enjoyed a selection of Chinese cuisine whilst being entertained my traditional Chinese Dancers from the Manchester Chinese Culture Centre; followed by lantern making.

Mrs Birkett a tenant at Duxford Lodge said,

 

“The evening was very nice and we all enjoyed it. Everyone was over the moon with the moon cake and the dancers were lovely”.

 

The group ended the evening by placing wishes into lanterns and releasing them.
