Mitchell House Cancer Research UK fundraising

First Published: 31/10/2024

Residents at our Mitchell House property have recently been fundraising for Cancer Research UK. This was a brilliant joint effort between our residents / colleagues. Due to their hardwork, they were able to raise an amazing £437.00 for Cancer Research UK.

We had roughly 38 residents who were involved with the Cancer Research UK fundraising, as well as their friends and families. There were lots of different activities that people could get involved in to help raise money. There was a play your cards right, a tombola, a raffle and various prizes that could be won. There was a £2 charge to enter, which would guarantee you a coffee and a cake. We really appreciated the wonderful baking efforts of our residents, their friends and families.

Cancer Research UK is the biggest independent cancer research organisation in the world.  Caner Research UK uses their own employees and grant-funded researchers to find out more about cancer, to raise public awareness of cancer related information and to influence public health policy related to cancer. Their work is entirely funded by public money. Fundraising efforts like this are incredibly important to ensure that Cancer Research UK can keep conducting their research. We are always happy to hear that our residents have been conducting brilliant fundraising efforts and raising awareness about their chosen charities.
