Development and Growth at JJH
Building Homes for the Future
Johnnie Johnson Housing has made a commitment to build 1,000 new homes for rent, affordable home ownership, and for sale in the next five years.
It’s one of the ways that we are helping to address the nation-wide housing crisis.
The ambition of our Development and Growth team, led by Assistant Director Lisa Johnson, is to increase investment in new and existing neighbourhoods to provide Outstanding homes for people who need them.
Already we have launched two new developments at Edwin Drive and Layden Drive in Doncaster, and a third development at Bollin Reach in Wilmslow is set to be occupied shortly.
We will share more information about these and future development plans soon.
Our Layden Drive Development
Comprising of eight exceptional two bedroom bungalows for independent living for the over 55s, each contemporary home at Layden Drive features open plan living areas with stunning rear views.
In keeping with JJH’s ethos of ‘Living Longer, Living Better, the bungalows will support independent living whilst providing new affordable homes for shared ownership. Each property has the optional added benefit of having access to JJH’s 24/7 assistive technology service, Astraline, ensuring help is at hand if ever needed.
The development also includes a bespoke bungalow for rent which has been designed to meet the needs of a household with family members suffering from an acute disability.
