You might think shared ownership isn’t for you, think again…

Shared ownership is another way for you to buy your own home. You buy a percentage, and pay rent on the rest. We own part of it, but it’s your home and you decide what to do with it and when to sell.

Buying a percentage means a smaller deposit and smaller mortgage, more importantly it gets you on the property ladder sooner or allows you to downsize at a time that works for you and works in a way where you can buy shares to work towards owning 100% in the future. You’re in complete control.

Shared ownership can be confusing and not many people know that it can be an option for anyone, regardless of your circumstances. With rising house prices and people feeling the prospect of buying is a step too far, shared ownership is more relevant than ever.

First time buyers

Shared ownership is a great option for first-time buyers. The smaller deposit makes getting on the ladder easier and sooner for lots of people.

Over 55

If you’re retired and looking to downsize, but don’t want to reinvest as much of your savings into another property, shared ownership is worth thinking about. The smaller mortgage and deposit frees up money for other things, and you’ll still have the security of owning your own home.

Not knowing where to start…
