Celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III

Many of our residents celebrated with their neighbours and friends as King Charles and Queen Camilla were crowned.

Duxford Lodge

Ayesha Hall, Community Housing Oofficer told us about their Coronation party: “This was my first event at JJH. It was successful, fun and the residents really mixed well together and engaged, especially when we played quiz games…I can’t wait to do more with them in the future, it really shows how much they enjoy these gatherings.”

Woodford Court

Residents held an afternoon tea party with entertainment – a wonderful time was had by all.

Bader Court

After a generous donation from a friend of a resident, everyone at Bader Court enjoyed a celebration with a marquee, singers for entertainment and a lovely buffet.

Resident, Pauline McLaughlin told us all about their day:

“We had a raffle to raise funds to be able to make our communal garden into a useable space for residents – so that we can meet up and socialise. Staying true to Johnnie Johnson Housing’s motto “living longer, living better”. What a brilliant day we had, we raised £77 to go toward the communal garden.”

Park House

King Charles’ Coronation festivities brought together residents at Park House with a delicious feast and a delicious cake from a local bakery.

See below some of the pictures Johnnie Johnson Housing residents and colleagues shared with us.
