Johnnie Johnson Housing residents raise £1,500 for Macmillan

First Published: 10/11/2021

Residents across Johnnie Johnson Housing organised Macmillan coffee mornings, bringing neighbours together and raising vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Residents held a number of different activities during their Macmillan coffee mornings to raise money and bring their community together, laughing and having fun. They held bake sales and ran Tombolas, raffled prizes, played games and drank plenty of tea and coffee.

Thanks to all the residents’ hard work and the support from their housing managers, together they raised £1,500! That is enough money to pay for a Macmillan nurse for a week and for a Macmillan grant that helps a family affected by cancer take a holiday and enjoy precious time together.

A huge well done to all the residents and colleagues at Mitchell House, Mitchell Close, Blenheim Court, Vulcan House, and Albert Ball House! You’ve helped Macmillan continue to support people with cancer and their families.
