Finance Team celebrates success at top industry awards

We are very proud to announce that we took home an award at the National Housing Federation Housing Finance Awards, winning in the category of Best Finance Team 2019. Housing Finance is one of the largest and most respected events in the social housing calendar.

Jo Harrison, JJH Finance Manager, explained how delighted the team is to receive the award: “We work incredibly hard to deliver a finance service to the business and our customers that is of award-winning standards. We are very proud of the work we do and it is brilliant that we have been recognised so publicly.”

Johhnie Johnson Housing is also a finalist at the following awards. We will be sure to bring you news of any new nominations or award wins as and when we receive them.

North West Coast Research and Innovation Awards: a finalist in the category of Culture and Innovation; recognising the work that has been done to launch new business values and behaviours, and to continue to improve as a business.

UK Housing Awards: a finalist in the category of Best Older Person’s Landlord; recognising the work that has been done to support residents to Live Longer, Live Better.

And still to come:

Northern Housing Awards: We are shortlisted for the Partnering Scheme of the Year Award, for our innovative project that is helping to tackle the problem of “bed blocking” in the NHS. We are working in close collaboration with our partners, North Manchester Health Care Commissioning team and Manchester Older People’s Housing Alliance, to give patients that have been unwell or discharged from hospital the opportunity to move into one of four of JJH’s Neighbourhood Apartments while they recover. Winners will be announced on 23 May.

Housing Heroes Awards: Our Operations Manager Katye McArdell-Broome is shortlisted in the category of Inspirational Leader – winners to be announced at the Chartered Institute of Housing Conference in June.
