Continuing to build a safety culture at Johnnie Johnson Housing

First Published: 21/06/2021

We are fully committed to putting safety and compliance at the heart of our operations, and continue to strive for a robust safety culture in our organisation. That is why we are delighted to be supporting this year’s National Social Housing Safety & Compliance Week, which takes place this week.

We have always taken safety seriously, but this week and beyond is about learning what more we can do collectively, to avert potential disasters of the future and keep customers safe in their homes. In the four years since the Grenfell disaster, many lessons have been learned and progress is being made but more could be done.

Chris Roach, Compliance Manager at Johnnie Johnson Housing, said:

“We have publicly pledged our commitment to this very important campaign. This week, we will continue to raise awareness and share insight into the work we do in five key areas of compliance that underpin safety in our resident’s homes, which include gas, electrics, fire, water and asbestos.

“We know that feeling safe in your own home is the fundamental right of any homeowner or tenant, and that’s why safety has always been – and will always be – at the heart of our housing operations.”
