Help for households – Cost of living payment February 2024
A lot of of households are continuing to receive further support to ease financial pressures during 2023/2024 through Cost-of-Living Payments.
The third of these payments of £299 is now due and will be paid to qualifying individuals between 6 and 22 February.
This applies to people on a qualifying means tested benefit who were entitled to payment during the qualifying period 13 November to 12 December 2023 or a payment for an assessment period ending within the qualifying period.
The qualifying benefits include:
- Universal Credit
- Pension Credit
- Income based Jobseekers Allowance (JSA)
- income related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
- Income support
- Tax credits
- Child tax credit
- Working tax credit
The cost-of-living payment will be paid automatically, meaning those eligible do not need to apply but if you have any questions you can get in touch with our Money Advice team who are always happy to help.
