Parklands – celebrating our first new development in 3 years!

In order to celebrate our brand new scheme Parklands, we decided to visit one of our wonderful new residents, Gillian, who had recently moved into one of our properties at our development in Cheadle Hulme in Stockport.

Gillian had lived in her previous home for over 20 years which was a private rental property, she felt safe and secure there bringing up her 2 children. In May last year her landlord told her that he wanted to sell the property which left Gillian in a state of shock, it wasn't until October 2015 that he finally served her a section 21 which allowed her to look for a new home. Gillian is a full time carer for her son, aged 11, who is severely autistic.

Gillian was offered several properties but due to her sons condition they were unsuitable. In desperation she called Johnnie Johnson and was immediately offered a viewing on our new development 'Parklands'. As Gillian doesn't drive she wasn't sure of the location but on visiting our property she found that she could walk to various shops and villages right from her front door.

Gillian moved in on 25 November and although initially it was a huge upheaval for her son she has found that because of the location of the property he can ride his bike out the front and he's made some friends on the estate, she's even let him go to the park in the middle of the estate on his own!

It's only been a few short weeks since she moved but it's opened up her son's world beyond measure, previously she lived on a busy road and he couldn't get out the house unless Gill took him, now he has freedom which in turn has allowed Gill to make some new friends.

Gillian is very grateful to JJH for giving her the security and a future both her and her son deserve.
