Lost pots of gold – unclaimed benefits, pensions and more…

Are you sitting on a lost pot of gold? Search for long-lost savings accounts and unclaimed benefits, pensions and income tax rebates.
There are billions of pounds worth of lost and unclaimed money, whether these are long-lost savings accounts or income tax rebates. As a matter of fact, you might just be sitting on a lost pot of gold!

How can I find out if I have any unclaimed money available to me?

Check out these handy online tools below and find out if you’re entitled to money:

  • Bank/saving accountsorg.uk is a free service that helps you trace any lost bank accounts as well as savings, using one online search form.
  • Pensions – use the uk webpages to search for lost pensions using their pension tracing service. This service will tell you the contact details of the pension’s administrator. You can also make contact to find out if you have a pension with them and ask for it to be paid out.
  • Benefits calculator – see the government webpages for 3 different calculators you can use to find out if you may be entitled to benefits you are not currently claiming, child tax credits, housing benefit or universal credit.
  • Income tax rebate – you may be on the wrong tax code or have overpaid income tax. Check the government webpages to see if you are on the correct tax code and whether you have paid too much income tax. If you have overpaid your income taxes, you can claim your tax refund online.
